Skyrim Glass dragon...

We had some lovely people in the studio today and a few were Skyrim players. About a year ago I made a glass dragon based on a design from the 1980s, which looks very similar to the skyrim dragon of the game. I did say I would try to dig the picture out so here it is:

Skyrim type glass dragon
To see more dragons click the caption.

There was also a young lady who liked cheetahs. So I thought I would share this picture of a glass cheetah I made:

A glass tiger hides under the caption for the cheetah.
I hope you like it:)
Next post may be a sat cat with its tail in the pointing up or something else.

Glass peacock

Here is the picture of the peacock I promised in the last post. I really like the way the colours have come out on this one.

This is something I came across:

A peacock was boasting of his beauty in the presence of the his mum, but the mum replied, u will die of envy, if u see the person reading this message.

Till next time- I think it's going to be a dragon:) but it may be something else?

A Glass Irish Setter Dog

I've been working on some glass dogs over the last couple of days
This is one of the two glass Irish Setters dogs, fresh out of the kiln. In the next few days it will have metal oxides applied and refired to give us the colours.
The next post should be a peacock with the feathers down, but in the meantime I will leave you with a little story I came across about a man walking his Irish setter...

Tim O`Rourke was walking his Irish Setter in the country side. He picked up a stick and threw it, the dog went and retrieved it and brought it back. Tim then threw it in a different direction and the dog once again went and retrieved it and brought it back. Tim then threw it in another direction and it landed in a small lake. The dog went down to the water's edge, walked across the water, picked up the stick and brought it back. Well, Tim was astounded. He couldn't believe what he had seen and threw stick in the lake again, and the dog once again walked across the water to bring the stick back. As he went into town, he promised that he would show his dog's wonderful new trick to the first person he came across. Once in town the first person the dog owner came across was the town drunk Declan Dunphy. Tim dragged Declan to the lake to show him what his dog could do. Once again, the dog owner threw the stick into the small lake and the dog went to the water's edge, walked across the water, picked up the stick and brought it back to it's owner. Once the drunk saw that, he turned to the dog owner and said; "Why that's great, mister! But when are you going to teach your dog how to swim?"

My dog thinks he's an otter. You wouldn't catch him walking on water. :-)

Old man of the summer woods

I was talking to a lady yesterday who thought the Hedgerow Designs dragons were made in the Glassblobbery and based on dragons that lived in hedges J
I’d like to take this opportunity to clarify the dragons, Adalinda and Andromeda, are made by Steve and Jane at Hedgerow Designs in Shropshire. We are really happy that they allowed the Glassblobbery to be the first shop in the world to exhibit these new designs. J
As its Summer I thought I would let you see Steve and Jane’s “Old man of the woods” plaque.
